Abundance Corps is hosting Making Progress, a private gathering for students interested in how science, technology, and institutions can improve people’s lives. Join 50 students from across the country to learn how Progress happens and what role you can play.
Applications close at 11:59pm ET on Sunday, September 13. Accepted attendees will be notified early the following week.

What is Making Progress?
Making Progress opens with a welcoming ceremony on the evening of Saturday, 10/10, followed by a full-day gathering on Sunday, 10/11, with panel discussions, student lighting talks, a happy hour with Progress community professionals, career advising, and time to hang out. You will meet with the leading doers and thinkers of the Progress Studies and Abundance movement, including Jason Crawford, Alec Stapp, Bobby Fijan, and Sonja Trauss.
Who should attend?
Making Progress is for students who want to learn more about and be a part of creating progress. We value openness, warmth, and an ethos of contribution. You do not need a particular background or career path to attend.
When and where is it?
Making Progress will take place all-day on Sunday, October 11, 2026, in Berkeley, CA. We will also host an opening ceremony on the evening of Saturday, October 10.
Is there a cost to attend?
There is no registration fee. Meals, travel, and accommodations during the event will be provided. We are grateful for support from The Roots of Progress Institute and Emergent Ventures.
Will travel assistance be available?
We will provide travel and hotel rooms for attendees outside the East Bay and San Francisco. More information will be shared with accepted attendees.
How do I apply?
Simply fill out the application form above. Because space is limited, attendance is application-based. We will review applications and notify attendees whether they have been accepted after the deadline to apply on September 13.
